Flash Backgrounds

One of my current freelance gigs right now is working on a trailer as part of a pitch for someone. These are some of the backgrounds for it. They were all drawn directly in Flash. It's little frustrating because I know I could get the textures and subtlety I was going for in Photoshop, but I'm wanting to keep this entire project in Flash to keep it simple. I know all of my designer friends could have turned out something more interesting in their sleep, but these are important milestones for me, and I'm learning a lot about drawing and coloring in Flash. So there.

Steam-powered Gorilla

I don't consider myself much of a designer, but I did this character as a logo/mascot for a website my sister is working on. It's all done in flash. The character is jointed so he could be animated eventually. At some point I plan to do a complete turn-around for him. The website is Tin Ape at tinape.com.
